Greetings,
I’m the writer/creator of Eastwick and Missy Biozarre, two pen names for young adult fiction. Young adults don’t censor themselves, so why should their authors? Yes, that includes “salty” language and mature content. I refuse to water down my fiction, but the extremely mature ones fall under Jane Doe Ax; my non-YA pen name despite the stories having teen protagonists.
Currently, I’m focusing on writing the best I can and stockpiling first drafts. I will publish one day; it may even be soon. I juggle three pen names because my brain wants to sort my stories into their neat little boxes. Though the guidelines I set for each tend to smudge into each other.
I’ve had some strange experiences from watching my sister fall out a second story window during a hardcore game of monkey in the middle (she’s fine—walked away with stitches) to jumping into the middle of multiple man-brawls. Granted, it sounds less badass when I admit I entered the frays to break them up. I pretty much was a chihuahua in those days—completely disillusioned about my physical stature.
I’ve even had the occasional idiotic experience like racing up a down escalator, tripping over the last few steps, and riding the shame train all the way to the bottom. And yes people saw. My cackling friend, the cute ticket taker who kept shaking his head, the crowd of people whose movie just let out…
I’d like to think I redeemed myself by scaring the shit pellets out of an entire tour during a haunted mansion flashlight event. Though it might have just been my clothes—I’ve always been a fashion disaster. And yes, I wear combat boots with dresses.
Between manuscripts I’ve been training my two-year-old niece to speak in a British accent. So far she can say, “Ello Mummy!” and “Please Sir, I want some more.” I’m working on, “OFF WITH HER HEAD!”
